ARRL: THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR AMATEUR RADIO
arrl.org/licensing-education-training. The ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League) is the premier organization for amateur radio enthusiasts in the United States. It represents amateur radio and amateur radio operators to the US legislative branch as well as the FCC and to the IARU (International Amateur Radio Union). The ARRL probably has the largest selection of training materials.
BOOKS/STUDY GUIDES
Gordon West. He writes outstanding study guides for the Technician, General, and Extra amateur radio license exams. In his books he has all the published questions for the license exams. He also has practice tests where he explains why the right answer is correct. Excellent resources. They can be purchased from the ARRL and on Amazon.
Craig Buck K4IA. Craig also writes study guides. His guides can be purchased from Thriftbooks online.
Ria Jairam N2RJ. Another author of study guides. I am not familiar with this author. These guides may be purchased at Christianbook online.

HAM RADIO PREP. www.hamradioprep.com. Excellent resource. “Ham Radio Prep will provide you with all the information and resources you need to prepare and study for your amateur radio license exams.”
HAMSTUDY. www.hamstudy.org. HAMSTUDY by SignalStuff is another excellent resource. They provide all the published exam questions in a practice test format. Feedback is given for right or wrong answers.
HAM RADIO ACADEMY. www.hamradioacademy.com. “Amateur Radio for Smart People”. A resource for all things related to amateur radio.
BRIDGECOM SYSTEMS. www.bridgecomsystems.com. “Amateur Radio Resources to Ace Your Upcoming Test”. They have multiple resources for license testing including the question pool, flash cards and practice exams.
HAM SCI. www.hamsci.org/resources. A long list of resources that includes “No Nonsense” study guides, practice tests, video courses, Morse code trainer, and a lot more.
Join your local Amateur Radio Club. The knowledge and practical experience of the members can be a great resource for you as you prepare for your exams.
